4J Studios is delighted to announce the appointment of Brian Gomez to the newly created post of Creative Director and Executive Producer. Brian joins 4J Studios from NBC Universal where he was most recently Executive Producer on the Jurassic World gaming franchise.
Brian has spent his career in the games industry in senior design and production roles across several companies including a significant period with The Walt Disney company and the production company of horror author Clive Barker.
Brian’s return to Scotland from Los Angeles also re-unites him with 4J Studios founders, Chris van der Kuyl and Paddy Burns whom he worked with at VIS entertainment in the 1990s.
Paddy Burns, CEO of 4J Studios said,
“Brian’s appointment heralds the beginning of a new chapter for 4J Studios. We are still working hard on various aspects of the Minecraft universe and, at the same time, developing our next generation of games and technology.”
Brian Gomez, Creative Director and EP of 4J Studios also added,
“I am beyond excited with the opportunity to join 4J Studios at this time. My family loved our previous time in Scotland and it is wonderful to be coming back. My time in LA working with some of the world’s biggest entertainment companies gives me a great perspective on how to build lasting and creatively exciting game franchises. I look forward to working with the superb talent at 4J Studios to create a new generation of blockbuster games.”
